Day Two of the 2012 Australian Schools Team Racing Championship being held at the Albert Park Lake was plagued by light winds throughout the day. Race Officer Lou Hutton spent the entire day shifting the race course to nearly every compass bearing. Even with the light fickle winds 30 races were completed.
During the middle of the day undefeated teams Christ Church Grammar School (WA) and defending winner St Michaels College (SA) met in race number 49. There was tight racing at each mark, but St Michaels College managed to come home with the win picking up the 1st, 2nd and 4th positions. St Michaels went on to finish the day still undefeated. Christ Church Grammar is in 3rd place.
The afternoons racing got a nearly fifteen races completed in two hours of racing, before the wind died at the end of the day. In the last hour of racing five more races were completed, before the breeze died completely leaving the boats motionless.
At the end of round six, St Michaels College (SA) lead the competition with St Josephs (SA) and Scotch College (WA) in 2nd and 3rd places with five wins each. Christ Church Grammar (WA), St Virgil's College / Guilford Young College (TAS), Hutchins (TAS) and St Leonards (VIC) all have four wins. The next 7 teams all have 3 wins.
